Veteran's day parade
The Veteran's Day Parade is on Saturday, November 11 in downtown El Paso. The Eastwood JROTC Battalion march in the parade along side veterans and JROTC Battalion's from other schools.
summer camp
JROTC cadets may attend a 5 day Summer Camp held at Ft Bliss. Cadets live in dormitory style housing, eat in a dining facility, and participate in activities that reinforce and compliment the instruction that they received during the school year. Examples include rappelling, water safety, land navigation and leadership and team building courses. Summer camp also provides our cadets time to interact with cadets from other JROTC programs in the greater El Paso area.
annual military ball
This is the formal dinner and dance. Cadets from our sister battalions (6 other HS from Ysleta District) are invited to attend this event along with supporters of the Trooper Battalion. It is the social highlight of the school year and many non-JROTC students seek to attend. Many past attendees have claimed that the Trooper Ball is better than the school prom!
